Termos košnica
Problem:
Godinama u pčelarstvu je veliki problem ulazak mrava i miševa u košnicu koji remete rad pčela a naročito miševi, postolja nisu imala mogućnost sprječavanja ulaska mrava i miševa, prenosivosti za seleće pčelarstvo, niti su trajna.
Rješenje:
Naziv "termos košnica" podsjeća na popularnu termos bocu, što upućuje da posjeduje dobru toplotnu izolaciju. Njena inovativnost ogleda se u konstruktivnom rješenju, po kojem se košnica sastoji od nosećeg rama i troslojnih stranica. I jedno i drugo su napravljeni od naširoko upotrebljavanih materijala - jelova daska, stiropor, tanka špera od mekog drveta, dvoslojna PVC ploča i plastična ugaona lajsna. Noseći ram čine stubovi, gornji i donji vijenac od jelove daske, koji obezbjeđuje nosivost i stabilnost košnice, jednostavno razmicanje i vađenje ramova standardnim postupkom i alatima i sprečava kontakt pčela sa stiroporom. Troslojne stranice postavljene su tako da sloj do pčela čini meko drvo, obezbjeđujući pčelama uslove približne prirodnim i sprječava da pčele nagrizaiju stiropor. Srednji sloj od stiropora obezbjeđuje toplotnu izolaciju i sve prednosti stiropornih košnica. Vanjski sloj – dvoslojna PVC ploča, obezbjeđuje zaštitu košnice od vanjskih uticaja, čime je izbjegnuto farbanje košnica štetnim zaštitnim sredstvima, a obezbjeđuje i dodatnu toplotnu izolaciju. Ugaonim plastičnim lajsnama obezbijeđena je zaštita ugaonih spojeva dvoslojnih PVC ploča od prodora vlage. Ovakvo konstruktivno rješenje termos košnice zadržava sve prednosti kako drvenih tako i stiropornih košnica, i istovremeno eliminiše sve nedostatke i jednih i drugih. Termos košnica posjeduje znatno veću toplotnu izolaciju od drvenih, jer je koeficijent toplotne provodljivosti stiropora 4,4 puta manji od koeficijenta toplotne provodljivosti drveta.

Thermos Hive
Problem:
For years in beekeeping, the entry of ants and mice into the hive has been a big problem which disrupts the work of bees.
Solution:
The name „Thermos hive“ is reminiscent of the popular thermos bottles which indicates that it has good thermal isolation. Its innovation is reflected in the constructive solution, according to which the hive consists of a supporting frame and three-layer sides. Both are made of widely used materials – fir board, Styrofoam, thin softwood plywood, two-layer PVC board and plastic corner molding. The supporting frame consists of pillars, upper and lower wreath made of fir board which ensures the bearing capacity and stability of the hive, easy spreading and removal of the frames by standard procedures and tools and prevents contact of bees with Styrofoam. The three-layer sides are placed so that the layer next to the bees makes a soft wood providing the bees with conditions close to natural and preventing the bees from biting the Styrofoam. The middle layer of Styrofoam provides thermal isolation and all the advantages of Styrofoam hives. Outer layer provides protection of the hive from external influences which avoids painting the hives with harmful protective agents and provides additional thermal isolation. This constructive solution of the thermos hive retains all the advantages of both wooden and Styrofoam hives and at the same time eliminates all the disadvantages of both. Thermos hives have significantly higher thermal isolation than wooden ones because the coefficient of thermal conductivity of Styrofoam is 4,4 times lower than the coefficient of thermal conductivity of wood.
